The Extreme Grizzly Challenge
SAN ANTONIO – Our Cleto Rodriguez was at Marianito's Extreme Texmex Grill Tuesday morning, learning how to make (and eat) their infamous 7-pound burrito. They call it “The Extreme Grizzly” and if you can eat it within an hour, it’s free! This burrito is filled with refried beans, carne guisada and cheese, and then melted in the oven with red enchilada sauce and more cheese. It’s then topped with lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole and sour cream.
The Ximenez Family moved to San Antonio and opened Marianito’s in the winter of 2010. Family owned and operated, what makes Marianito’s a great dining experience is their commitment to customer service, quality food, reasonable prices and cleanliness. What makes the restaurant different is their ability to serve traditional San Antonio style cuisine with an extreme flair. Carne Guisada, Puffy Tacos, Fajitas and Enchiladas are always a great choice, but you might want to go Extreme. Chimichangas, cheese crisp, fried ice cream and Tex-Mex cannoli’s are just a few things that separate Marianito’s from other restaurants.
